Blog Visits Post

-The first blog I visited was based on the pros and cons of Obamacare. Upon looking through the blog, I didn’t find very many citations or links to back up what was stated. However, I looked through multiple blogs about this topic and found that the majority of them contained the same facts and information. The writer also seems to be unbiased, which allows the reader to somewhat form their own opinon on the topic.

-The second blog I read regarded theft in the workplace. This blog wasn’t very impressive, but it did reflect the writer’s strong points and opinions about the topic. There is a statistic stating “90% of cases are never solved,” which is presumably a high assumption in order to persuade the reader to believing his opinion. The writer also bashes law enforcement for not cracking down on these thefts, not realizing that theft in the workplace can be incredibly hard to detect.

-The third blog was about Weis Markets receiving bad press. The blog depicts the recounted story about a customer who decided to stop shopping at Weis due to employee and self-check out issues. Most of what is written complains about the scanner not excepting the items she had scanned through, and tells of an accusing employee who acted nasty towards her. However biased this writer may be, they need to realize that machines aren’t always guaranteed to work perfectly, and employees shouldn’t always be expected to be in a “peachy-keen” mood. After all, none of us are perfect.

  1. Thank you for commenting on our post regarding Weis Markets. While it may be that we cannot expect ,achines to work perfectly, or employees to always act respectfully, the scenario outlined is meant to illustrate conditions which will irritate shoppers and cause them to go elsewhere. People have become to accepting of poor service, and will “vote with their feet and wallets” when unhappy. customer service is the only thing which distinguishes one commodity from another.
